After months of planning, a lot of hard work, and more than a few doubts and concerns, we finished our building work. The simple decor was rustic, but comfortable and warm. We had finished our barista training but had so far no experience of the coffee business. Our little enterprise was slightly out of the way, and easily missed. We didn't even know if people would find us, and if anyone would show up.
In just twelve months we worked with many amazing people. We served a lot of coffee, and made many, many new friends. None of it would have been possible without the help and support of our family, friends, and of course, our valued, wonderful customers. We constantly learn, and endeavour to improve the service and quality of our simple fayre, and the future looked bright.
In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic struck. All businesses have their ups and downs, in our first year we had good times and bad, but now the cafe had to close for most of 2020 and into the middle of 2021. We received many heart warming messages from well wishing customers throughout the closure, and despite all the setbacks we continued. We do not give up easily and hoped to share a happy and successful future with all our friends and customers, both old and new, we moved forward with increasing optimism.
We continually try to improve our service with changing menus and unique drinks. The ever increasing number of loyal and new customers has meant taking on extra staff, they continue our friendly cosy ethos in the same way that has given such a welcome and unexpected success. With your help and encouragement we will continue for many future years.
The success of our little cafe has also encourage a new path into providing a small selection of beers wines, and on Friday and Saturday evenings, an exciting selection of cocktails. Our evening cocktail bar is different to others around the city. It provides a quiet haven in which to talk and enjoy a delicious cocktail, please give it a try.

Our focus is small healthy snacks made from fresh ingredients, prepared with care and presented in our unique style. Of course there are few less healthy cakes to try for that special treat.
We take pride in the quality of the drinks we serves. Our coffee is made from the finest beans, our herbal tea is made from fresh produce wherever possible. Plus we serve fine traditional English tea.
